Center is a marine environmental education and research center located on
Hutchinson
Island between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River Lagoon in
Stuart,
FL. The lagoon is the most biologically diverse estuary in
North America. The
Coastal
Center has access to beaches and dunes, hardwood hammocks, mangrove marshes, seagrass beds and reefs. There are nature trails, exhibits, saltwater lagoon, visitor's center and gift shop. It provides excellent opportunities for education and research aimed at increasing knowledge of these unique environments
